Today (6/14) Apple began selling hardware unlocked iPhone 4s in the US via the online store. There are also still ways to add your own homebrew (read: free) ringtones to your 1.0.2 iPhone, even when running iTunes 7.4.2. Just pick your poison: iPhone RingToneMaker (Windows), Ringtonator Studio (Mac), or iToner (Mac).

Simply download the file onto your hard drive, run it and connect your iPhone to your computer to transfer the program onto it. Run the program within your iPhone to unlock it for use with all carriers.
